Become a Friend of JBCL

Invitation to Become a Friend of  Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds

We are very happy that anyone who comes to JBCL can use the Centre, have access to authentic, quality teachings and use of the library facilities on the premises. All Dharma teachings are free of charge but we do need donations to cover the running costs. Nobody should feel that they are excluded from the teachings due to lack of funds. Those who support the centre spiritually are an essential part of the Dharma community.

It does, however, take more effort and money to run Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds than is often realised. The contribution of time from volunteers and the money raised from donations during classes go some way to maintain the centre but they do not cover the cost of running it. In order to fulfil the centre’s aims it needs your support and you can do this by becoming a Friend.

A Friend is someone who:
• wishes to be part of a Dharma family and the Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds community
• wishes to have support for their Dharma practice and to give support to others
• wishes to support a peaceful, positive place in the heart of the city where the Buddha's teachings can flourish
• wishes to use a beautiful meditation room where they will receive inspiration and an opportunity to create merit
• wishes to demonstrate their commitment in a practical way by giving a regular donation of money and/or time.
