About Us

Jamyang Buddhist Centre Leeds is affiliated to FPMT. We provide a place for meditation, contemplation and in-depth study of Tibetan Buddhism and its practices, specifically relating to the Gelugpa Mahayana tradition.

We regularly host the well known Tibetan Buddhist teacher and monk Geshe Tashi Tsering. We are also very fortunate to host other highly respected teachers-lay and ordained  from the FPMT network.

Jamyang is the Tibetan name for the Bodhisattva of Wisdom. Another translation of the word Jamyang (or Manjushri in Sanskrit) is Gentle Voice
