plus 10:00- 11:15 on Sunday 19 February 2012

Puja (prayer ceremonies which show honour, worship and devotional attention) are open to all and are an important part of making merit (positive energy) for yourself or others.
You can join in the prayers and chanting from the sadhana (spiritual text) or sit, listen and enjoy the blessings.  This puja is specifically used to bring the blessings of the Medicine Buddha so why not come along, make offerings, participate and enjoy.

Lama Choepa Tsog Puja

17:45 on Saturday 3 March 2012 with Geshe Tashi Tsering

Concentrating on the offering to the spiritual teacher, this chanting meditation session will be energising and highly beneficial. So come along, make offerings, participate and enjoy. Everyone is welcome.

More Information about FPMT Pujas:
Pujas are dedicated to the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and to the success of all the FPMT centres and projects, students, benefactors and those serving the organisation in any way and all those who have requested prayers for friends, family and loved ones.  Each month, pujas are performed by as many as 9,000 Sangha around the world. Having that number of  Sangha engaged in these practices is a powerful means to overcome obstacles and create merit. The extensive range of practices and pujas offered by FPMT include:
• Annual 100,000 Tsog Offerings to Padmasambhava
• Annual recitation of 100,000 Praises to the 21 Taras
• Annual recitation of the Kangyur
• Monthly extensive Medicine Buddha puja
• Monthly extensive Hayagriva puja
• Monthly offerings to the Bouddhanath and Swayambhunath stupas
• Monthly offering of robes and gold to the Buddha statues in Tibet and Bodhgaya

All of those pujas are performed on auspicious days of the Tibetan calendar when virtuous karma is believed to increase as much as 100 million times. When the pujas are performed, Sangha read extensive dedications prepared by Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and offer the merit to the long life of HH Dalai Lama, and for the removal of obstacles to FPMT’s Dharma activities. Merit is also dedicated to FPMT students, benefactors of centres, projects and their families, to all who have passed away, and to the benefactors of the Puja Fund.  So far, these offerings and pujas have not been publicised much, but I would like to make it known so that other people can participate in making these extensive offerings. The offering to all these monasteries happen continuously, every year, every month. My idea is for these offerings and pujas to continue forever or for as long as the monasteries exist. Please if you make offerings, please think in this way and dedicate and you can also remember on the actual day that the pujas are happening, rejoice and dedicate. This is the best business, the best way to create most extensive merit.
Lama Zopa Rinpoche

By contributing to the Puja Fund of the FPMT and making your own dedications and offerings, you become part of the continuous practice of pujas offered by thousands of monks and nuns around the world for the benefit of all.
